European Research Conferences: The programme of European Research Conferences (EURESCO) is run by the European Science Foundation, in association with several learned societies, and with funding from the Euroconferences Activity of the European Union. Each conference consists of a series of meetings, held typically every other year. There are neither written contributions nor proceedings. Unconventional ideas and new approaches, not yet fully explored, are encouraged. The conferences are open to all scientists, whether from academia or industry.

Mayflower BIOCOM: This site is updated regularly as a communications channel for chemical, biological and biomedical aspects of peptide, protein and nucleic acid science.
MediConf Next: MediConf Next lists the next 1000 future events taking place worldwide. It is an abridged sample from the full MediConf database, which contains over 7500 future events with the complete details of a conference such as the organizers address, phone, fax, email, descriptor, and statistics. Further details on how to access the full database can be found at the MediConf site.
The New England Journal of Medicine: Upcoming Medical Meetings: Notices are published weekly in the New England Journal of Medicine and appear on-line until the date of the event.

To be held at the International Congress Center in Berlin, Germany. Sponsored by Springer Verlag. "The program is directed towards basic researchers and clinicians, involved in research in molecular medicine. All aspects of molecular medicine from genome analysis to gene therapy will be discussed."

Biotechnology for Business, May 10-14

National Agricultural Biotechnology Council Annual Meeting, May 31-June 2

NABC10:Agricultural Biotechnology and Environmental Quality, sponsored by the National Agricultural Biotechnology Council (NABC) and hosted by Clemson University in Greenville, South Carolina, will take a close look at gene escape and development of pest resistance to genetically engineered plants. Society of Nuclear Medicine Annual Meeting, June 7-11: The 45th Annual Meeting of the Society of Nuclear Medicine will be held June 7-11, 1998 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This meeting is the foremost international event of the year for nuclear medicine's leading physicians, scientists, chemists, technologists and other nuclear medicine professionals.

AAPS Annual Meeting, November 15-19: The topic for the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientist's 1997 annual meeting is Bridging Gaps Within Drug Discovery and Development. The meeting will be held at the Moscone Convention Center, San Francisco, CA.

Cardiomyopathy and Heart Failure Summit: This is an annual event. The site offers both current conference information and the proceedings of the previous summit. The details of the 1998 Cardiomyopathy and Heart Failure Summit have not yet been finalized.
