Programs Offering Degrees
Boston University
BU offers an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics. The program has
thirty faculty and a number of centers and departments involved in the
program, and it has won National Science Foundation support.
Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at George Mason University
GMU offers a a Ph.D. in bioinformatics and computational biology. This
site provides students and researchers with news, events, activities, and
related Bioinformatics courses at GMU.

Bioinformatics
at the University of Manchester School of Biological Sciences |
This college offers a Master of Science in bioinformatics and computational molecular biology.
Pasteur Institute (France) |
The bioinformatics courses at the Pasteur Institute are organized with the collaboration of the two largest Parisian scientific universities, Paris VI "Pierre et Marie Curie" and Paris VII "Denis Diderot". The diplomas delivered to students of these courses are considered equivalent to university degrees, for 1998 tuition of about 3 000 French Francs, or $500 US.

Computational Biology at the University of Pennsylvania
This program admits students into standard PhD programs of either the
Computer and Information Science department, or a biological department,
but then provides additional training in computational biology.
Postdoctoral fellowship positions are available for individuals have
demonstrated interdisciplinary research interests.

Computational Molecular Biology Graduate Studies at Rutgers University
This joint effort of Rutgers and the University of Medicine and Dentistry
of New Jersey offers a PhD program.
Bioinformatics at Stanford University
Stanford offers a three-course series in Bioinformatics online.
A certificate is awarded for completion of the three courses with a
letter grade of B or better in each course. The courses are taught by
Stanford faculty: Russ Altman, Douglas Brutlag, John Koza, and Michael
Levitt
| Computational Molecular Biology Program at Washington University in St. Louis | In 1997, Washington University will enroll its first class of doctoral students in this new program in computational molecular biology and genome analysis. |
| W. M. Keck Center for Advanced Training in Computational Biology at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | The Keck Center (a collaboration between Carnegie Mellon, the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, and the University of Pittsburgh) provides graduate and postdoctoral training programs in computational biology through other formal programs of study. |
| The W.M. Keck Center for Computational Biology in Houston, Texas | The Center offers studies in Computational Biology through three partner institutions: Baylor College of Medicine, Rice University, and the University of Houston. Students may have diverse home departments/programs but will share a common identity as Computational Biology students. |
Other Academic Bioinformatics Programs
| Australian National University Bioinformatics Server | This site contains a list of bioinformatics databases and software, and an internal search engine so that you can quickly find what you are looking for. |
