Notes and Acknowledgement for the Chemical MIME Connection
I have tried to gather a list of the chemical MIME types I have seen on the WWW and match them up with the programs that can be used to view them. It is not a perfect or exhaustive list. In general, I have included programs that I have had a chance to t
est because they are available on the Net. I realize that there may be other programs available, especially commercial ones that I have not be able to access. As always, things are constantly changing on the Web, so look for new programs or adaption of y
our old favorites to be available as helper application.
I have gathered the information for this project from sources to numerous to mention. They include program announcements and descriptions, listservs, newsgroups, web pages and journal articles. I would like to mention that the molecule which is a part o
f the Chemical MIME Connection logo has come the library of molecules provided with the Linus! Lite program produced by Rick Hallick, Gene Myers, and Sanford Selznick at the University of Arizona.
Also thanks to Brent Shelley for suggesting the name for this project.
